POTTERHOUSE
Behavioral Education For All Ages
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based practice focusing on effective behavior change through positive reinforcement. The goal of ABA is to improve socially significant behaviors by using interventions based on the principles of behavioral psychology.
We support parents, caregivers, and inquisitive individuals across various settings to understand behavior and feel confident to enact change. Through effective teaching and training, we will provide the foundational tools to help you teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. Like clay in the hands of a potter, we mold behaviors to transform lives.

SERVICES
Private Teaching and Training Sessions
Training services rooted in the science of behavior and the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) can be effective and beneficial for all parents and caregivers. Potterhouse provides a series of training sessions for clients who know of individuals with mild to moderate behavioral issues, including noncompliance, communication deficits, issues with daily living skills, lack of tolerance to people/items/locations, and issues with transitioning between activities. The sessions include information on ways to decrease problem behaviors and increase functional skills, such as appropriately communicating with others, addressing academic deficiencies, and completing daily living routines.
Throughout the sessions, the behavior analyst will focus on how to prevent problem behaviors, the actions to take when challenging behaviors occur, and how to increase positive behaviors. We teach and review fundamental topics in ABA, such as :

- Understanding why behaviors occur
- Visual support tools
- Skill acquisition techniques
- Functional communication training
- Behavior generalization and maintenance
- Behavior prevention strategies
- Social skills
- Compliance training
and more!

In addition to caregiver services, Potterhouse extends tailored assistance and counsel to educational institutions and various organizations striving to enhance their functionalities and foster a constructive workplace atmosphere.
